Monthly Member Salon

We have held a number of excellent open conversations in our first year that touched on matters relevant to current life here in the community and the culture at large. We wish to deepen them, and bring members' own expertise into play. So, we are excited to launch a new monthly salon-style conversation at Electric House about subjects that are both of the moment to some, and that will allow the community to learn from regional experts and from each other.

To start us off, Steve Wood, an EH member and long-time local resident and activist–and an accomplished artist, educator, and retired from his psychotherapy practice in NYC–will speak with us about a topic we all have just learned a lot more about: Fear. How does it act on us collectively, as well as internally? What are the ways we can know and counteract it as the culture rapidly shifts around us?

Come enjoy a drink and some light food, and let’s start things off with good listening and sharing and see where it goes. Bring ideas for future topics and presenters. Our first event will include some conversation about, well, conversation, and how to make the format and tone a useful and enticing blend.
